National Achievements

1. In 2001 the National Department of Education nominated Mbilwi Secondary School the MOST IMPROVED SCHOOL and it was awarded a special award for Mathematics under the CONSISTENTLY IMPROVING SCHOOLS AWARD.

The ceremony was held in CAPE TOWN on the 28th February 2001 the Minister of Education and the Deputy President handed the certificate and R100 000 – 00 prize.

2. In 2000 Mr. THABANA K.S (<<< click for details). our then Mathematics Teacher was nominated the National Maths and Science Teacher of the year.

3. During the National Teaching Awards for 2001, The Principal (RAMUGONDO
N.O) of Mbilwi Secondary was nominated the National winner of the EXCELLENCE IN SCHOOL LEADERSHIP AT SECONDARY LEVEL.

4. In the 2001 Examination the learner MUSHOMA TSIRELEDZO was the top (No.1) learner in the whole Province.
